Bumblings and Sketchbook Patterns

 Prismacolor and graphite
8"x 8"

I seem to be bumbling about in my studio and mainly moving things around. In the "big" sense of the word --the happy result of a daughter having come home for a couple of weeks and having reclaimed her room which had morphed into additional studio space.  And in the "little" sense -- that of moving small pieces of paper and fabric around on larger pieces of paper and fabric; and similarly, moving ideas around in my head. I do have ideas percolating for a series of paintings (I've never really done a series before.) and also for some hand- and machine-sewn cloth items. Meanwhile, while I continue to bumble and percolate, I thought I'd "toss" a few more sketches out into cyberspace .

Thanks very much for visiting!
Have a wonderful day.

a soul benefits from a dose of bumbling occassionally; often good things happen once the bumbling sets to boil and the groundwork has already been done; interesting studies, happy bbling!..

Hi Linda, Thanks for your kind words. I certainly hope you're right about the bumbling turning into boiling! (I'll have to remember that phrase.) Time is the critical thing. A week of uninterrupted time in the studio would surely bring things to a boil! Thanks for stopping by!

I am bubbling around too! I think it is the air.
Isn't fun? Keep going.

Nothing wrong with bumbling Gloria! Out of these 'bumblings' I suspect great ideas will come. Shall look forward to seeing the 'series'. Lesley

Yes, as we work and things cover things, we forget what we were doing. We have to move things and we see anew, what was going on. I encourage your idea about a series. Go Girl!

Love those prismacolours Gloria...
Go for it....the only way I can produce anything more serious is to do a lot of (relaxed) work on paper where I get so absorbed that I have a wonderful time and forget all worries.
I always am amazed what comes from that... I loved seeing what you did with your color pencils!
best,
S
