As promised....finally, some new work! I was able to hand pull about 25 prints and also did some relief printing on fabric. (Maybe I'll take a couple photos of that work and post them.) So here are a few of the results. I used Speedball and Versatex inks and the prints combine hand-cut paper stencils, an EZ-cut block, and drawing.
While I love the boldness of "full-on" color, I also love the softness and mystery of the "ghost" prints, below.
It feels great to have spent so much time in the "studio!" Now -- it's back to business. As always...thanks for your interest!

Nice! Especially like the first image you've posted. I'm happy you got a 'studio day'!
Looks great! I really like the ghost images. So glad your getting some some to time to make work!
Hi Betsy. Thanks for looking! Somehow, I'm not surprised you like the first one! :) Glad to see your icon, (or avatar....or whatever it is) with your comment. People NEED to see your work! Cheers!
Hi Heather. Thanks for your comment. It just goes to show you: people's tastes vary. You like the ghosts and Betsy likes the first pulls! (Check out her work, it's awesome.) I'm hoping you'll share some images of the mail art exchange (I think) project you're working on.
Hi Gloria !
These are great !
I`m happy to discovered you ...
These prints are wonderful - playful, yet simple. the colors are alluring. You know that I am eagerly awaiting photos of the fabric relief prints...
I love the circles, the links, the chains. The ghost images are lovely! Makes me miss printmaking!
I love the bold and the soft! Beautiful!
Also... in your past post, the Monoprint 4x4 of foliage... that is absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful colors~
Yes, I love the "ghost prints" as you called them. They are so subtle and grainy. I love it!
Heather -- I just read my reply to you and found it to be somewhat ambiguous! My apologies! What I meant was that I was DEFINITELY looking forward to seeing images of your new project, which, I was thinking (recalling at that moment), was a mail exchange project. Hope that makes sense! :)
Thanks very much Liv! And I'm happy to have discovered you!
Hi Lotta. Yes, I know. :) But I actually spent significantly more time printing on paper;and after looking at my first photos of the fabric, I only want to post one one of them, which I will do shortly.
Holly, I can imagine how lovely your prints were/are/would be. I am a total novice! Thanks for looking!
Michelle, Thanks very much!!
Hi Erin, thanks for your comments. Part of the reason the ghost prints are so grainy is because of the inexpensive sketch paper that I used. "Ghost image" is actually a common term referring to what's left on the plate after the paper is run through the press. (Maybe you already knew that.) The "press" in this case happened to be the bowl of a spoon which I rubbed over the back of the paper that was lying against the inked plate. (Very low-tech!) Looking forward to seeing your next painting!
you make me want to get a gocco printer! (i think it's gocco...)
Hi Molly, Actually, the prints were made by a method even lower-tech than gocco printing! I might do a tutorial at some point....Glad they make you feel like doing more art!
