Teal Ribbon-Waves and Frosty Fog

"Teal Ribbon-Waves"
Mixed Media Collage

It's a beautiful foggy, frosty day in Portlandia.  No chance of seeing the full eclipse of the moon, even if one had wanted to arise in the early hours to behold it.   Still working on my numerous collages, but making a short foray into the realm of sewing . . . both by hand and machine.   Feeling the need to at least put some wintery/holiday music on, since there are no visual indications of the holiday season in our home yet.

Has another week really gone by already?

Happy weekend, All!

I love this collage Gloria and I'm intrigued by the mention of sewing. Are you working on something separately or using the sewing with your paper collage? It's always so fascinating to see your work. I wish I had your focus!

Hi Lesley, Thanks for your kind words!! But I must say, I feel I LACK focus :). Like you, I'm always intriqued by process, and specifically, process as it relates to the NEXT IDEA! Regarding the sewing, I'm primarily tinkering with ways to incorporate various bits of hand-printed "process experiments" into finished usuable pieces, but I'm also planning to incorporate some machine stitching on some of my paper collages. Always nice to hear from you! Happy Holidays. . .

Hello Gloria!

Happy, Happy, Holidays!!!

We just had a bit Winter feeling in the air this week. A small dusting of snow but...nothing like what it was last year. So far, it reminds me of a Pacific NW winter. Funny eh?

May you have snow on the day but, have it melt before you go back to work!

Cool collage. Very free and expressive. I especially love the textures and abstract designs. Lovely and intriguing work.
