In My Minimalist Tradition

"Floating Ovoids with White Vessel"
30 x 40

A recently completed painting -- minimalist for sure, with its orange on orange ovoids and rectangles.  Today,  I began two smaller paintings and continued to take small steps toward completing "Twisted Strands".  Working on more than one painting concurrently is something new for me.  Not sure why it's taken me so long to adopt this approach, as it makes so much sense: Stuck on one?  Move to another.  Waiting for paint to dry?  Work on another.  And so it goes.

Thanks for stopping by!

I admire your skill in minimalist painting and with working more than one painting at a time, Gloria. Beautiful work as always!

Looking good! You take such nice photos. Can't wait to see the new in-progress ones. Hope you continue to enjoy having multiple going at once.

Thank you, Carol. I got into a little rhythm with moving the paintings on and off my table and wall and actually enjoyed working on the three of them at once.

Thanks, Catherine. And likewise, I'm eager to see the one you're working on when it's finished. :)

beautiful Gloria, you managed to use a lot of red and yet create a very restful , dreamy painting, i love how in my mind the ovals really float over the canvas into the vessel ...or not.x
